Our original store opened February 2006, Wellington Square Bookshop located in scenic Exton, Pennsylvania near West Chester, Paoli, Malvern and Phoenixville. Part of the award winning development, Eagleview, the bookshop is named after the community’s Town Center, Wellington Square. Since its inception, the shop has remained a hidden treasure in which those that cross its path are delighted by the old world atmosphere and eclectic selection of books available to them. Established in large part as a way for the owner to move his personal library out of his home, Wellington Square Bookshop evolved into a unique venue attracting varied bibliophiles and characters.

The shop specializes in arcane, eclectic, and obscure works, featuring rare, collectible, and used books. You will find plenty of the great classic writers H.G. Wells, J.D. Salinger, and Ernest Hemingway alongside collections of Italo Calvino and Primo Levi.

Our newly-expanded shop, opened August 1, 2009, is just two doors down and now has a cafe with delicious coffees and an assortment of pastries, and a great selection of new books - nonfiction, literary fiction, classic fiction, and cookbooks galore. Plus, we've got an amazing Children's Corner, storytimes for kids, book clubs for adults (bring your own book club or join ours), and so much more!
